BIRAJ KUMAR PAUL: His formal education in art has been from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. He has participated in various All India Exhibition of Fine Arts, Birla Academy of Art & Culture, West Bengal State Academy, Lalit Kala Mela and exhibitions at New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. He had his solo shows in 1986, 89, 91, 92 and 1994 and group exhibitions since 1977. He is a member of Painter's orchestra since 1987 as well as the member of International Forum of Artist. He has participated in several art workshops and camps in West Bengal and Assam. He has even published a Serigraph Painting Album sponsored by Lalit Kala Academy in 1993 and a book/Poems on Drawing. He has been awarded in the All India art Teacher's Art Exhibition organised by Camel Art Foundation in 2006. His works are in the collection of numerous art collectors in India and abroad. Currently he teaches at the College of Visual Arts Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.
